2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I think there’s a largely pragmatic section of support that is a little more risk averse than others. That’s how I see myself at least.

I am no great fan of Dyche, however until we have a board and owner capable of making and affording strategic appointments that will actually improve us, I’m content with Dyche to see us in the EPL next season and in to BMD.
On balance I would expect our current owner and board to eventually get it fatally wrong before they get it right.
So until TFG are calling the shots, better the devil I know, until he makes his position untenable - which I don’t see him doing.

you seeing something different then to us?

doesn’t mean I don’t want better for Everton, maybe just got a higher tolerance for this garbage.
Why do you think Dyche will keep us up? His Burnley side that finished 7th, he also got that very team relegated...

We are playing Russian Roulette keeping him, he is the type of manager that operate at a certain level no matter what players they have at their disposal.

Think our squad is better then anything Burnley fielded, plus there’s still the remnants of being a team that can contest against anyone, compared to a team like Burnley who will largely be seen as fodder (whether either tag is warranted is debatable)

I don’t expect Dyche to do anything special with us, but equally I don’t think he’s going to relegate us.
Watching some of our performances has been grim and far from enjoyable, but I dread to think who mosh would appoint next.
We’re in the Steve Bruce / Alan Pardew category at the minute imho, having seen Lampard and FSW appointed (not to mention Dyche), we’re scraping the barrel under this regime.

It’s all a bit of a trade off really, stability vs performances vs results vs no one would want Moshiri anywhere near another managerial appointment if Dyche left.

That was a good point yesterday, especially considering half our defence is out injured and the midfield is rubbish.

People just refuse to give him credit now because they don't like him.
I do think he deserves some credit yes, and actually 5 out of 9 isn’t too bad, and getting 48 points last year was very decent to be fair but I think people weights those performance metrics up with other metrics’ of 1 win in 7 this season, -8GD, 13 PL games without a win last season and 6 wins in 28 and whilst people may come up with xcg, there are other stats like possession. It’s a quite a mix really.

He got them promoted and they’ve never been in any trouble since they came back up, I’d say that is moving them on. They didn’t come up and then start settling for 17th every season immediately, just praying there were 3 worse teams than them every year. He is a much better manager than Dyche.

Points tally last season doesn’t prove that opinion unfortunately. Less points despite having better players.

Moving them on? Would you say adding 12 points to a season’s total ‘moving a team on’? Or does it not count when Dyche does it?

Let’s have it right, Keane shouldn’t be still at the club and yes he played ok, but people can’t wit to tell yoi he did , it’s like you want us to give him a new deal.
Listened to Joe Thomas do his quick 2
Minute round up of the game, Keane was great, Tarks was great apart from the pen. And we played ok in spells and a draw was a far result. I could be wrong, but I don’t think he’s an Everton fan and not from Liverpool. So he just writes as a journalist,
Which is his job, but it’s would be nice to have someone who has a strong position regarding reporting on the club, have a bit of ambition for the club.

Thing I don’t get is like the Bournemouth game and first 70 mins against Leicester where we played excellent attacking football on the deck , playing out from the back, players passing and moving, triangles etc etc . Are these games just freak occurrences where the players decide to play or has he instructed that? has he decided to play like that against weaker teams like Bournemouth/Leicester? Then the counter point to these games are the majority long ball hoof to an isolated striker that just comes straight back at us or the long diagonal hoof to Harrison

Not many times and only if deserved.

No one owns commentary on Everton's fate. People who go every week dont have more clout than people who dont, or dont go at all.

I've been to more games than I care to tell over the years but I dont place myself up on a pedestal above people who support from afar and have never been to Goodison or any other ground we've played on.

It's just arrogance and bad manners to believe in all that hierarchical tripe.
😂😂

Are you five years old or something?

You just made up that people were saying every team in the league is better than us. When I said that’s not true you then said i’d be saying before the game that we couldn’t get anything because Ipswich have a better team. I said I thought our squad was better than theirs and you’ve taken that to mean I’m expecting a comfortable away victory?

Do you think football works that way? There’ll be City fans not expecting a comfortable away victory at Ipswich. We’re a bottom half team and whilst I want us to win and we’re more than capable of winning it’s ridiculously naive to have a minimum expectation of a comfortable away win in the premier league.

You really are just behaving like a clown now.
You have no minimum expectations as evidenced over and over again. Every poor result is excused by you.

You also love calling people who disagree with you names, clown in this instance. Which is funny because you are always railing against "echo chambers" but when someone disagrees with you you very quickly resort to name calling. It's a shame.

Hi picked the midfield, he thinks doucoure and Mangala is a good combination. In another day we lose 3 or 4-1, the pen miss the lucky one off the line from Ndaiye, Gordon clean through and plenty of other times they got through us.

I don’t like him because he’s a poor manager, that has one plan and sets up to not lose and why I’d still hate it us sitting back at home, but I could probably just put up with him being very defensive in games like yesterday, and against the very best, but then go and attack v Ipswich next Time, but he won’t he plays the same v city or Ipswich
We’ve lost of last 3 cup competitions all at home v Luton, Fulham and Southampton reserves, when we had 25% possession, that’s a disgrace and we’ve won 6 in 28, he’s apparently a legend in Burnley, but they even sacked him for 4 wins in 30.

You’re just on the wind up, hence why I called you a clown.

There’s not a single ounce of rational thought in any of those recent posts, they’re just purely designed to bait.
