We sacked Silva after conceding 5 in a Derby
We sacked Koeman after conceding 5 at home to Arsenal
We should have sacked Benitez for conceding 5 at home to Watford
We effectively sacked Lampard 3 games after conceding 4 at home to Brighton
Dyche in his time had now conceded 4 on four occasions and 6 at Chelsea but still has a job, why?

Great that the team had a squad meeting in the week to clearly decide how to turn draws into wins. Forgot to put on the agenda a solution to stop turning draws into absolute pumpings.

A meeting. Brilliant. Let the players work out how to fix the problem. That’s game over for the manager and staff. Out of ideas and what little respect they had will now be totally gone.
In Britain everything is solved with a meeting. I suspect there were no actions though. Those are the worst meetings.

now we only have one man who’s just a vacant owner

I wanted Dyche to stay until the end of the season. The main reasons being the security of staying up and not wanting a short-term appointment mid-season, as we need to break that cycle. Stagger over the line, shake hands, and move on in our new stadium.

But it’s been bad recently, and some of his decision-making looks like he knows he’s going. He’s not for changing, and there are players who a new manager will get more out of. They look bruised and emotionally shot (as do us fans) from a really difficult few years with the points, and it feels like we need a different personality to freshen up and put some smiles on faces.

It was really damning with the treatment of Beto today. Patterson and JOB should have been on after 60, but it felt almost petulant bringing them on with a few minutes left. Both looked comfortable and will almost certainly play under a new regime.

Fairly sure it will be Graham Potter though, so I hope he knows what to do with this group of players.
