Portsmouth PodJockeySam Matterface reveals that Sean Davis is being targeted by Everton for a deadline move.

Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis is a last minute transfer target for David Moyes, the Pompey Pubcast understands.

Davis who fell out of favour at Fratton Park last term, has started the last two Premier League matches for Harry Redknapp's side. However with Pompey's need to cut their wage bill and Everton's desire to sign a centre midfielder, Davis could move north by midnight Monday.

Portsmouth have already offloaded Pedro Mendes to Rangers and Sulley Muntari to Inter Milan this summer, and appear to be thin in midfield, but Harry Redknapp is not a huge fan of Davis and the manager has to move players out before he can bring in the two players he desires before the window closes.

Please God no

Moutinho isnt a holding mid is he?
Davis is the type of player we should have got in last year as a squad player.Theres deffo gong to be knashing of teeth and pulling hair over on the kipper!!!!

it makes me laugh sometimes, hes` been in for Sean Davis twice before and got [Poor language removed] off.Dont get me wrong if you look back at the arse end of last season the squad was fooked and very slim on the ground, so the signings hes made the last week or so which have cost virtually nothing could have been done early doors.I say early doors `coz none where on international duty apart from the lad fron Milan. So using that scenario what the [Poor language removed] has Moyesy been doing?
He could have got the lads in hes` got before now and then went out and got `that little bit of class` by consentrating on deals and not pissing off agents and trying to get things done for nowt.

All I know is we need two midfielders signed tommorow aswell as Saha and Obinna. A few weeks ago I'd have said no to Davis, now I'd definatly take him. We also need a play maker, a poor mans Moutinho if it has to be the case. Just someone who can pick a pass and is inventive.

Arteta can't the the lone creative force all season, we need someone to help. I just hope the club can suprise us, I really do. I can't see it though.
