He played well I thought, look quite solid defensively. Didnt make that many runs but his distribution was very good. Thats 2 games in four days so he should come on for them, hopefully he has no reaction from them.

EDIT: Acutally now that I think about he was badly caught out defensively early in the first half, missed the flight of a ball in from a free-kick but apart from that was decent defensively.


You are right but it was one hell of a ball put through. This lad is solid and is certainly one for the future considering his lack of match fitness he played very well indeed. Those that know will realise that I have a bias towards the lad for obvious reasons(y)
 

Cheers for the information guys. It's actually quite good for young defenders to make the odd mistake providing it doesn't lead to a goal I feel. Has the merit of stopping them growing complacent to the threats of high level football, gives them experience of more incisive passing/movement, but doesn't have the drawback of them realising they may have cost their team the game. Psychologically must be hard to defenders that - especially at the start of their careers.
