2025/26 Seamus Coleman

….gutted for him breaking down so early in the game. He must have been desperate to have made that start and you could see how distraught he was going off. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was 2 grown men in tears in that dressing room after 20mins.

He’s a terrific man is Seamus Coleman and the decision to extend his contract is fully justified given what players say about his influence. Dangerous to write him off but football at this level is physically demanding and unforgiving.

Celebrate him whilst we can.

Great post.

Sadly we have people on here who believe - as with Peter Reid in the past - it's time to hate and ridicule an important player in the club's history because they pick up too many injuries. It's disgusting.

Gutted for him on a personal level, he’s one of my favourite ever Everton players.

But regrettably, this happens every time he starts for us in the Prem. It’s not fair to him anymore.

Still a wonderful person to have in the squad, on the bench, as a captain and mentor. Can still contribute, but I can’t see him starting for us again. If he wants to represent Ireland too, he needs to be smart with his playing time at that intensity.

I think he really demonstrates the difference in intensity between international football and the premier league. He is capable of playing consistently for Ireland still, but every time he starts for us he breaks down pretty quickly.

I’d love to have seen some of the current new fans circa May 1994.

Oh the meltdowns……

Strange that some posters are so angry after Everton won away at old Trafford, very strange behaviour.
Absolutely crackers
