Exactly. Its like we`re afraid to tell players that they`re not good enough for this level of football anymore and just keep giving them new deals until they physically shot to pieces.
I don't think he has, I bump into him occasionally. He doesn't divulge much detail but I got the impression he was offered one year on a reduced wage for this year, and he felt that it wasn't a good look for the club captain to be taking a pay cut but he wanted to stay as he felt there was no obvious first choice RB.

Has well and truly destroyed his legacy as a good but not elite Everton player. Definitely way below the likes of Howard, Baines, Pienaar, Arteta, Cahill in being a modern-day Everton 'great' or whatever we call our better players that didn't win anything.

Nope, it`s to do with incompetence. We have never had money even though we`ve been on the PL money train since it started. Young is 38 and getting played every week, we have Patterson and have given a young lad a run at RB this season and have in Garner another player that can fill in in that position. We don`t need to give Coleman another 12 months knowing he`ll have injury problems meaning he`ll miss more than half the season. I can understand giving Young 12 months as he stays fit enough to play, can`t see a reason for doing it with Coleman other than the old he`s been a great servant to the club, great lad, one of us.
If he comes back injured from the international break it`ll be the final straw for me.

He wouldn't get a game in any other team in the top 2 or 3 divisions and should have been binned literally years ago.
