We're in financial ruin, heading straight to the Championship and you want to give a 1 year extension to a player who is nearly 35 and had a nasty injury which looks like could be a career ending one due to his age.

What do we need to do to look after him? When he was out with his broken leg we had long enough to find his long term replacement but instead brought in a short term fix hoping Seamus would be back just as good as he had been, which he never was.

If the injury is as bad as seems then no one will be offering him a contract. We should (and I imagine will) let him rehab at the club and if he can play again then give him a short term contract so he can at least get a proper send off. I’m guessing we were likely to offer him a coaching role anyway.
