I think Seamus needs to take a rain check on the international front.
he’s at the point in his career that he can’t do both.
This happened last season as well because as soon as he plays for Ireland the same thing happened with his hamstring.
I’m afraid we pay his wages and it’s us that appear to suffer.
He and the club need to make a decision on this

Played there before and will do a great job.

If he had any loyalty to us he would retire from International football and concentrate on the team that pays his wages. Thirty two now, time to let it go and concentrate on your club career.

I understand the frustration, but players are entitled to represent their country. At 32 he’s got not got much time left to do that and he probably wanted to try and help Ireland qualify for a tournament.
