BBC News - Pair jailed for 'random' murder

If anyone did this to me, they had better kill me because I would go all Dexter on them, why is our country so full of evil like this?

If people want to hate England because of thugs like this, then I can understand that view point.

Totally ashamed of the way some people behave.

Going to prison now, but like Mercer they are probably happy to have the notoriety attached to them.

What gives uneducated, thick, useless, waste of space and air the right to take someone else's life like this?

Death penalty, the only solution in my eyes.

Do they actually think that they would get away with it?

We've bred this, horrible as it is.

I hope they shown no mercy on the inside, what utter filth.

One Friday night my mates went into Chester town centre (when we were 15/16). I usually go but I was with a girl over in Northop that night.

Anyway, they were jumped by around 15 lads who just took turns kicking them, holding them down and stamping on them. We never knew who they were as it was dark and we didn't really know much about the Chester lot - although we did find out they were from the Lache.

For years after that I harboured some sick ideas of revenge, really nasty stuff. I wasn't proud of the thoughts, but the fact that they decided to gang up on some lads just made me feel sick.

I'm not the confrontation type and I tend to walk away from any trouble if I can, but if pushed I really do turn nasty - and I was even more angry as I wasn't there that night.

At the time I could have gone the wrong way, but I didn't and maintained my humanity - but I feel sorry for anyone who knew the lad who got killed, I don't know if I could contain myself.

A neighbour of mine , where I used to live , was just walking home from having a few pints when he got jumped by three scumbags who demanded his wallet and chain. He ended up wrestling with them, pinned one down and beat the s**t out of him. While he did this , the slimes two " accomplices" legged it.. Just shows what kind of people they are

yeah it does. I would fancy a crack at anyone one on one - there is an invisible button on me that just goes if it's found. Has happened about 3 times in my entire life, and the person who found it - never tried to find it again.

I suppose most people have a breaking point, but when there is more than one on you then you don't have much chance.

I got jumped by 3 lids at a Taxi Rank in Liscard 1 night, there was just me, the missus and her 2 mates. I had been drinking tequila all night and was well trollied. I just kept my arms and head moving, not a scratch on me. They tried to put my shirt over my head, so I just took it off. Cowards everywhere, I looked for them loads over the weeks, not that I could even recall what they looked like.

But it was a lucky escape, thankfully none of them could throw a decent punch or it miught have been very different.

I was late for school one day, as I walked down the final stretch I was jumped by around 15 20 year olds who really did beat 40 colours of [Poor language removed] out of me.

All for £3 and a Debit card that had like £20 on it.

Shocking

A girl tried to jump me once. Blocked my way and told me to handover my wallet. I think she even said something weird like 'This is a holdup'.

I literally laughed in her face and she skulked off.

Smackheads: God loves a trier.

Unfortunately in the USA random murders occur so frequently that they rarely get mentioned by the press anymore.

Ghost to me Chester City centre has always been a very dangerous place at night, go into any pub or club and they are full of little peolpe wanting to be big, normally backed up by six or seven mates. I'd always chose Liverpool, Birkenhead and New Brighton before Chester..............nasty place full of nasty people, at night

I read about this the other day while clearing out some old papers, yes, the two little shits who attacked some guy in Hull apparently for no reason, problem is these incidents are becoming a dime a dozen across Britain, it's got worse with the 24 hour rule, and this government are five fifths of useless and it doesn't look too promising. I don't know what the solution is or when it will improve.

If I was the father of the murdered man, I would ask for five minutes alone in a room with no windows with those two punk bastards rather than any (soft) sentence the courts could hand out.

I would give the very definition of swift justice.

RIP Mr ash. :(
