Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right...
Due to age I'm strictly a supporter of the old style dinners, were they cost a shilling and you had the same meal on the same day.
And not a chip or chicken nugget to be seen
Except for Friday where it was fish one week cheese pie the next, even in ' heathen ' proddy schools.

I used to HATE that cheese pie *shudders

Amazing

Oh sit down 'dinners'.

How posh.

And Dinner is the meal at the end of the day, Lunch is what you have at 'Lunchtime'.

I can't even remember what we used to have.

Oh wait, I was on packed lunches, that's why.

Me ma used to send me off with some sandwiches, usually cheese or ham or something fancy like that, a pack of mini Cheddars, some sort of sweet / chocolate and probably a yoghurt.

Probably healthy lunch, like.

I imagine nowadays it's all about tortillas and fruit cocktails.

I remember going into upper school in year 9 we had chcocolate and fizzy drinks machines and could get turkey twizzlers in a roll and chicken nuggets. ****ing ace.

Then they made it ****e, simple as.

The age old conundrum of lunch/dinner/tea.

For me, lunch and dinner are interchangeable, and tea is the evening meal, as toffee-fellaini says.
