Grown men saying they are 'scared' - Jesus wept, grow a pair.

So much bed wetting going on.

The 90s were far worse, far far worse.

Get a decent manager in and it's sorted. Jan round the corner.

Squad is unbalanced but has quality players.

Ha ha if only it was all that easy aye. God it's posts like this that infuriate me. No wonder our fan base is fractured

Is it better to admit there's a big problem or sit around doing nothing whilst Rome burns around us?

I lived through the 90's, our current predicament is just as bad, if not worse

Who are we going to buy in Jan? What quality player is going to want to hop on a sinking ship? What is any manager, however decent, going to do with an over the hill defence, no creativity in midfield and no striker up top?

Might as well ask him to turn water into wine whilst he's at it FFS

He will have Barkley, Coleman and Bolasie coming back. With those 3 we should be able to go on a run that will see us safe even if we don't sign a striker although there will be plenty of strikers that will come here for the wages we offer.

They won't be CL quality but they will be good enough to see us safe.

You want to get out a bit more. Go for a stroll and enjoy the fresh air.

Grown men crying about a situation with a quarter of the season gone.

Season is completely recoverable with a decent managerial appointment.

Concerned, yes. Scared, no not yet.

As poor as we've been, there's a lot of mitigating factors that imply things hopefully SHOULD improve.

Even now after 10 games, I don't think there's another team in the league that's had the sort of run of opposition that we've faced within those games. The fact that our ridiculous run of top 6 opponents those opening weeks of the season when a (fairly new) team needed to be gelling really hasn't helped us. Also did nothing for confidence.

Add in the Europa games (starting so early) which has meant that inexperienced side has had relatively little time together on the training ground.

Sadly the Europa League is unlikely to be a concern after Thursday, and I do think we'll start to see results pick up from there, when we're playing just once a week, with more time to work on things in training.

Yes, there's still some glaring holes in the squad, which can't be addressed until January. These holes will mean we certainly won't hit our pre-season aims for 17/18, but I do think there's enough there that once we're down to a game a week, we'll have enough to pull clear of trouble.

You need to open your eyes lad. And it's not grown men crying its called being concerned and passionate about the club we love.

There is absolutely no 'even if we don't sign a striker'. That is absolutely essential early Jan.

I'm just numb. Whilst some of you were assuming we'd win the league this season, I was worried before a ball was kicked in August:

Average manager (now sacked thankfully)

Fraud owner

Kenwright (enough said)

Bang average signings with no pace

It was always going to end in tears.
Can you please find one of these posts from Evertonians claiming we would win the league please Jim?
