they'll do enough to survive, through solidarity as opposed to striking fear into opposition though.

we should still get 3 points imo, even if it is tough
Just imagine Lukaku. He can get goals out of nowhere. It's weird having a striker that you know will at least score a goal every 1-2 games.

You mean the other winger lad whos name you dont remember cos hes so utterly terrible?

That Knockaert aint bad like, but hes by FAR their best player.

I think my main worry is my mate is a Leicester fan and I'll never hear the end of if it goes tits up.

I know imagine it was him running onto jags 50 yard ball today!!! His first touch would have been towards the goal...not 6 yards the wrong way like Naismith managed

exactly, even if he's not fully fit to start. everyone saw what he could do at WBA and what he did to USA from the bench. he did it on his debut with us as well, he doesn't have to be fully fit to win a game.

you're in a win win ijjy.

if we lose, we'll end up above them at the end of the season so you just shrug your shoulders and say, pretty pointless boasting that lad.

then what do they say "well you should finish above us, you're a better team than us" then you can just boast about that.

just start worrying when they're above us (y)

Friendlies are just extended training sessions in a match environment nothing more. We've not played our full strength team, we've played opposition that have used 6-10 substitutes, it's just part of the preparation for the season.

Really can't see what there is to worry about.

I wish everyone saw it like that.

Martinez isn't stupid, he does say a few silly things now and again because he's ultra positive but he knows what he doing.
He's tried different formations with a different XI on the pitch in every half of every game.
And it's clear that the players didn't try as hard as they would in a competitive fixture.

Winning 5/6 nil wouldn't have told me anything different than today's result because all it is is a chance to try things out in the limited time he has against decent opposition, he wouldn't have got that opportunity other than the last few days.
Even if we would have won it's still meaningless to us.

Let's just hope Coleman, Lukaku and Mirallas are all in the squad for next week.

Funny that, because weren't we all creaming it last summer because of how well we'd played v Juventus and RM. Presumably Esk you were not lifted by those performances and the promise they showed.
