In fairness mirallas didn't play much in the world cup and lukaku was on the bench for the last few belguim games

So

Do you think because there on the bench there not training every day like the rest of the team

They have played football non stop for over 12 months and have had 4 weeks off, The lot of you would flip if he rushed them back and they got injured before the season starts

Given the reaction to these games I'll be surprised if we hit the ground running in the first few weeks of the season. It's not a catastrophe, a sluggish start won't have too much of a bearing on the season in general.

As others have said I'm worried about Hibbert being exposed. I also hope we don't rush Mirallas and Lukaku back if they're not fit, don't need an injury to either of those two.

Lukaku and mirallas at minimum have to come off the bench 2nd half against Leicester. Would be disappointed if they don't see any game time at all

Are you saying players are humans and like time off too?

No chance, not having it. We pay their wages. Make them sleep at Goodison the lazy bastards.

How can you possible know how fit the players are and that goes for stamina

They could be getting hammered in training and have been told to take it easy in the games to avoid injury and fatigue

Nobody including myself has one clue what is going on at the club regarding training and preparation

That is a very knee jerk reaction to what I posted

Meh disappointed but it happens, it is just pre season i guess.

I think like some others have said it'll probably all come together at Leicester, we've just been playing players to get fit and not to win in pre-season.

Only thing i'm really disappointed about is Rom and Kev not playing any minutes but apparently they're playing in a behind closed doors friendly next week. And i know they couldn't really be rushed back too i guess.

I'll be more worried if we don't turn up for Leicester.

And i'm sort of still worried about the needless mistakes we're giving away.

I think you still have the same skill you finished last season with, so its not lost, the team, has been strengthened in some aspects so we are and should be better and good enough to win when the premier league starts, I'm guessing its a lot harder to focus when you have dropped below the required 100 % you reserve for the premier league matches, so we dont look fresh or ready. I am hopeful that if I was other premier league managers I would watch others pre seasons to catch tips to help beat them, maybe martinez is hiding aspects not to give away anything, and everybody is coming back at different times so it hasn't been the best preparation. If we win all pre season we might be overly confident and get beaten maybe these results will help focus and not allow bad elements of our game to creep in as we have been warned by these results
