It's all about the pound bakery these days, 2 pasties for a quid. Still call Greggs and Hampsons Sayers though, same sign and everything.

Our hampsons closed down,havent eaten a shop pastie since,that being said it'd gone down the pan before it shut,changed name or whatever happened.

Oh I discovered this the other day. I think I squealed when I saw them. Big things too. Their name is wrong though. It should be the 50p bakery.

I still <3 Greenalghes but only Reidy probably knows what they're like.

they have 3 names, the newest being The Pound Bakery with 2 for a quid (80p for 1 though), same delicious fodder at a bargain price, now that feels right to me.

Greenhalgh's is good, but at £1.30 for a pastie it just gets walked past along with Waterfields.

yep still goin, only had one after you mentioned them, from a place in pennington, Taylors are supposed to be good as well.

They have a Greenhalgh's by me, i'll have to try it this week. Only just moved here last week but I remember Reidy praising there in the pastie rater.

They are good. Their cheese pasties use real cheese, instead of melted Kraft cheese slices.

Not a chicken pie/pasty lover personally mate. I love chicken but not in pastry for some reason. More a ham and cheese/bean & sausage/cornish man like. Greggs sausage rolls are ace though, used to be £1.15 for 5 small ones now they're £2.10ish for 3 big ones. Rip off. Went to Maccy's yesterday on a side note. £4.19 for a big mac meal with a milkshake. Couldn't believe it, was only £3.19 a couple of months ago

Pound Bakery's are boss, popping up everywhere. Where is the one by you Fawlty lid?
