Not a fan. Don't see the point in wasting resources on dangerous dogs to prove that sometimes they don't bite the faces off children.

Regardless of the misinformation regarding these breeds, they are untrustworthy and very dangerous dogs.

From 2005 to 2015, pit bulls killed 232 Americans, about one citizen every 17 days. Of these deaths, 51% involved a family member and a household pit bull."

Oh and before people start chatting breed intricacies

I think I'm more concerned that a man died and no-one noticed for a few days to be honest.
I guess that's no reason for putting the dog down, put it does put things in perspective, and the family are happy to see the dog put down

I noticed how the Policeman lies in the video and says the dog is responsible for causing injury to it's owner when it's unknown if he was already dead and in all probability it was just eating his corpse out of hunger, anyway I hope it goes out fighting, any Plod rolls me over and squashes me or tries to pick me up to antagonise me i'd do the same. The dog is 9 if it hasn't been reported for biting anyone before it prob won't be any time soon and i'm sure with a responsible owner it would prob be fine but saying that I wouldn't want to take it on it either.

BLASPHEMER!! It's always, ALWAYS the owners fault. How dare you try to blame it on the dog. Shame on you.

If anyone can take the time to sign this petition to help save this poor dog, who has been sadly condemned by Merseyside polices outdated and cruel assesment procedures. It's up before the courts soon and any pressure at all may hopefully help the appeal to succeed. Thanks

Having watched the video of the police "assessment", the only creature that should be put down is the dog handler. Absolute moron.
