I reckon the home attendances will continue to fall away if the current malaise which surrounds EFC continues. The squad desperately needs a couple of fresh faces with a bit of 'go' in them to revive the feeling of there being light at the end of the tunnel. That said, we have such a player in Coleman, so lets hope he returns to fitness as quickly as possible.

i was one who decided not to attend, sick of the way the club is being run, sick of paying to watch a team of spineless, overpaid no-marks with no passion, sick of sitting in a place that was once so vibrant but now dead, sick of walking away from the place with my head down... i could go on...

i too think that attendances will fall, the only way forward is a total clearout.

Is it just me that thinks barkley, coleman, gueye and vellios should all get a decent run this season...we arent going to qualify for europe, as much as id like to think we will, and we probably arent going to get relegated, so against teams that tend to park the bus, why not give the youngsters ago at it?

Its also in the period following a recession and with a lot of uncertainty in the economy generally for the first time in over 10 years...

Its actually 1030 down on our average attendance last season. (36,038 2010/2011, 36,725 2009/2010, 35,667 2008/2009, 36,954 2007/2008, 36,738 2006/2007, 36,860 2005/2006, 36,834 2004/2005, 38,837 2003/2004, 38,480 2002/2003, 34,003 2001/2002)

And interestingly only about 661 down on the average during 2008/2009 during height of the banking crisis and when we went to Wembley and we were on a run in the FA Cup.

Its also a similar level drop as seen between seasons in 2007/2008 to 2008/2009 (1300 drop!)

I don't think anything below a +/- 1500 fluctuation is statistically significant really.

It if dropped by 4 or 5 thousand then it would be something of serious concern.

my lad said he doesn't want to go anymore ,says were ****e

Even at our complete crappest, I never once turned round to my old man and said "I don't want to go anymore..." and i saw some crap games.

I just enjoyed spending time with him, going different places, and meeting up with fellow blues and going thru the pain or joy or both together.
