So if we'd got knocked out of the FA Cup in the first match would you have not bothered with Everton until next year ?

Cheltenham
Bolton
Oldham
Wigan
- EUROPE !!
Could have had all the shi*e luck in the league Brennan mate.. But thats a pi*s easy route into Europe without breaking sweat.

You'd think so but I wouldn't be surprised if he'd wait for the season to end.

Kenwright would never fire him. Also, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Moyes has at least earned the right to finish the season and his contract, regardless of how poor we've been lately.

That said, it wouldn't upset me if he fell on his sword before season's end.

Spot on this.

I get that, but to say the season is over ? Mad imo.

We're only 2 points behind 5th, and i'd much rather go for that than finish 9th. Season isn't over by a long way.

And before anybody says that we'll play crap until the end of the season because of what happened yesterday, look at our form after we lost the Semi last season, 9 points from 5 games, three of which were away.

We could win 5-0 on Saturday, but ultimately it really wouldn't matter.

The season's finished. We can't make Europe, because to do so we'd have to finish above BOTH Arsenal and Liverpool, and that simply isn't going to happen. Of course it COULD; I COULD win the Euro Millions next week. Doesn't mean it will though.

We've won nothing again, the manager is clearly on his way, and so will be a few of the players. The whole thing is depressing beyond belief. Meanwhile the one person who should go - the bloody owner - gets away scot free yet again.

Fans of a team are supposed to care about every match, isn't only caring about winning trophies what people get called 'glory hunters' for ?

European football (5th) would still have been a target, that's gone now, too many silly points thrown away.

Exactly.
Do you drop him to teach him a lesson or keep him in to redeem himself?
City game isnt really the best one to try, but the midfield needs a reshuffle. Barkley must surely be in his thoughts.

imo the issue is that by keeping him or dropping him, the message you send isn't just to him, it's to the whole team

The moment John Heitinga appeared from the tunnel at half time against Villa was the moment we lost our chance of qualifying automatically for Europe through the league

Totally out of form, confidence shot to bits.. our best player getting booed off and a manager who has created the element of doubt in the team..

People were saying we'd be relegation candidates in December of 2011.

We ended up finishing 7th and reaching a semi final.
