How much would you be willing to bet?
Clearly a figure of speech not meant to be taken literally. Would be in very poor taste betting on such a vile topic.

Our Squad has ridiculous depth now, we really should be targetting a trophy, Martinez is one shrewed customer he knows if you want a whiff of silverware there is no point in having a good team you need a good squad.

We're a long way from the days of playing Steve Watson as a makeshift striker.

And Cahill.

what is this "cheese on toast" phrase that you lot use?

Regarding Eto, he has a 1 in 2 ratio throughout his career. Bit of a gamble given his age and ambition level, but hopefully Martinez can motivate him to create some competition between him and Lukaku - thats what we need.

Lukaku needs to have someone who will threaten his standing as Number 1 striker. Then I believe we will see the best of him. Its easy to be complacent when you are a £28m record signing with no real threat to your place. I think Origi gave him a little lesson on that in the WC.

So much depth that our only natural AMC is injured and we have nobody who can come in and compete for his place.

Combination of wages + PL exposure. I'd like to think he sees us as a last great project in his illustrious career, but he doesn't look the type to me.

Right so it's a pay day, but he also wants exposure by playing in the best league.

If be interested to know how that's different to any other player in the world.
