I dont think its a case of proving us all wrong, I think most people have high hopes for the lad, I do myself, I just have a "feeling", as I say its based on nothing, I havent seen anything like enough of the lad to judge him either way.

And yes Distin is hardly injured, but how long can he maintain that "luck"?

In an ideal world, Jags and Distin play 50+games next Season, without injury or suspension or even a loss of form.

But thats not the Everton way.

We probably could do with strengthening the squad so we have more numbers, but I honestly don't think we should go out and spend half of our summer transfer budget on a defender, I can understand with the injuries and "4 defenders" you call it but I just wouldn't do it.

If Duffy doesn't get his chances next season then he could move on to bigger and better things.

if we could get lescott in for the same price we get for heitinga then great, but yeah a couple of million in the red for that swap and i'd be a bit pissed. we need to look at first team positions which is striker, centre mid then 1st choice keeper before exploring a backup/possible 1st team centre back option.
