I've come to the realisation that I don't really get the Sam hate, he has done the job he was asked to do and it's as simple as that.

I appreciate that will be met with a barrage of "Oh but he doesn't get Everton" or "He's so negative and talks us down". Maybe the issue is that we think we're something we're not and we have no divine right to be top 6 or top 8, maybe we just don't like hearing someone tell us the cold hard facts of where we are as a club?

I don't like the fact that he's associated with the club, I think we can all agree on that, but he can't have done a great deal more than he has and he's been completely honest about where we are and what we can achieve. I get that we want him gone and I agree with that sentiment, but I don't get the hate and those frothing at the mouth with rage.

100%

He came to save us and he did. People are really fickle, we weren't just crap to watch before he came we were genuine relegation fodder

As always the truth in somewhere in the middle, which is probably around what your view is.

It really doesnt help when you see how well those over the park are doing, I do beleive thats a reason for the fume of how bad we play, or its a contrubuting factor.

Just delivering a dose of realism to some mate, I have raged about him but have come to learn that being a pissy pant foot stamper really is just pointless and not really warranted.

Oh the fume from various things contributes to the reaction Allardyce gets, Burnley being better than us, that lot in the CL final, poor signings, Lookman going out on loan etc etc

But if you isolate those things how many is he responsible for in comparison to the level of stick he gets? Anger is being diverted largely at the wrong man.

You're obviously more tolerant than most in here.

Can't stand him personally.

I think it's a huge factor, especially when you think, their goalkeeper is worse than ours, and their defence is not really any better than ours, and their midfield consists of yard dogs like Henderson and Milner.
