Well you were all told what would happen appointing this buffoon.
But no "he'll get us safe " was the order of the day for many on here.
His record is worse than the 2 managers preceding him yet he's stll in the hot seat , still think he's the right man eh lads ?

This jerk should never even be mentioned in the same sentence as this club.

A spurs supporting mate said 'Quit your crying, you're still midtable and not getting relegated.'

We're 9th and can drop no lower than about 11th this weekend, but we're not mid-table in any sense other than the position. We're 41 points from top and only 14 points off bottom (both have a game in hand). 23 pts from top 3 and 7 from bottom 3, with all teams below us yet to play.

Midtable means damn all.
For those old enough to remember, Manchester City were relegated having been in similar circumstances that we now find ourselves in. Early eighties I think, they just plumetted like a stone from the mid table safety some people think will guarantee our safety.
I'm not surprised at losing today, in fact I forecast the score. But my initial anger at Allardyce has subsided somewhat as I cling to the hope that we will eventually get the points we need.

I expected to lose today and I expect us to easily avoid relegation as things stand. Getting rid of Allardyce would gain us very little at this stage but could see us spiral out of control.

Swansea are winning. If them, Palace and Saints win, we're only 5 points off relegation (provided Benitez rolls over for his old club, as expected).

That little smirk coming off at the end did it for me, he doesn't give a fk.

Not defending his football by any means, and he clearly does care to some degree, but can you blame him if he's not as mentally engaged as he might otherwise be? He was tapped up for a shortlist, then discarded, then brought back in when things got even worse, then offered an 18-month deal that he negotiated up from 6. Before he started, all the media outlets were saying it's a marriage of convenience and that the fans didn't want him. Now everyone is talking about who will be Everton's next manager in the summer, and the fans give him abuse from the stands and on radio phone-ins every week whether we win, lose or draw. Hardly a recipe for success.

" he clearly does care to some degree "

WTF does that even mean ??????

FFS we`ve just been humped by a Burnley team that hadn`t won in eleven games, he should be gutted and angry.

The fact that he`s smirking, despite the loss and the amount of shiz he`s just taken from the fans as he`s walked off the pitch ,tells you all you need to know about the man.

I don't know how people think when he came in we'd challenge for European spots, now get upset when we play bad.

He's here to steady the ship. One that was on cruise control to hitting at iceberg.

He'll keep us safe. Then it's up to the summer where Moshiri wants to take us.

I'm completely indifferent to what Sam does

Is the first bit of your post a genuine question? I can't quite work out if you just don't understand the words or if you're being rhetorical.

Anyway, I'm sure he is angry and disappointed. The point is, he just won't be as disappointed as a manager who expects to be here next season. I'm sure in your personal life you are unrelenting in your work and would never ever let your attitude be affected by such things as future employment prospects. But unfortunately the rest of the world is not like that, and it makes a big difference to how you behave.

[Cue the response: yeah but yeah but he gets paid £6million, to which I will preemptively respond: salary size is a level effect that doesn't make a difference to the point at hand. If anything, being paid that much is actually more likely to him care less.]

His £6m a year should soften the blow.

I`m being rhetorical.

Smirking does not convey angry or disappointed, it portrays petulance, arrogance and not giving a shiz.

It`s what my 12 yr old lad does, when he`s been caught doing something and is trying to buy himself a few seconds to think up a convincing lie.

Irrelevant of what my personal thoughts are on him, he represents our club, smirking after getting gubbed, does not reflect well on the club and only serves to disengage himself further from a fan base, that we saw turn properly on him for the first time today. ( expect it to get much worse )

As a pundit, he will have had proper media training on the the does and dont`s when on camera. He`s also done hundreds of interviews too. Smirking when trying to convey disappointment is probably not part of that training.

He`s not just an un likeable manager, he`s an unlikable human being.

He`s a stain on the club mate, yet you and and a couple others just don`t seem to be able to get your head around it.

Only think Sam is bothers about is Sam and his bank account, he was up for retirement , before we took him on a last resort
Not really a surprise he isnt bothers because he already thinking of sitting by his pool in Portugal with a pie and mash gravy and a pint.
More the fault of the way the club is run than just him.
