Very similar pattern to the final days of Koeman now when you think back.

Players continually getting behind the Manager in the media - Check
Performances and results continuing to be very poor, particularly away from home - Check
Manager making more and more ridiculous statements to try and deflect blame and responsibility - Check
Manager losing the supporters (In Sam's case, there wasn't that much to begin with) - Check
Other Managers being linked - Check
And right near the end, rumours coming out about Moshiri having had enough etc - Check.

Not going to be long now by the looks of it, thankfully. :)

Judging from the source this is probably not to be dismissed as lazy paper talk. Don't know how Sam will take this as he is bound to read it.From Moshiri's point of view, how would you feel if you sanctioned a £27m purchase only to be told that Niasse is preferred? The next few weeks could be interesting.

What players have been getting behind him recently?

I don't understand the excitement with Silva - are we serious that mediocre seasons with Hull and Watford suddenly make him our saviour? He's not the new Mourinho, Poch, or even AVB..what has he done that is so exciting? he's young and smart. that's it? !!

His sides play nice football and he looks like he could pull half of the birds in town with a sly grin.

It certainly looks like momentum is building. And he only has himself to blame really. I never wanted him at the club, I think few did. After he was hired many accepted the inevitable, myself included and were prepared to give him a chance.

Those who continued to vociferously argue against his appointment and refused to accept him as Everton manager, in my opinion have proved correct. Two things stand out really, the deplorable cowardly tactics and the sheer toxicity his presence invokes. It makes the situation untenable for Allardyce.

For any Everton side of any generation to go through so many minutes, so many games without mustering a shot. It's just not on, as a club we can never tolerate such a white feather approach to the game. It's treasonous to what this club represents.

The players haven't helped, that's for sure and a fair few should be off-loaded asap. But like the direction of the club, surely lies at the feet of the directors, the tactics, playing style is the managers responsibility. With that in mind he should be thanked and relieved of his duties, the sooner the better.

Fonseca is the main target. Silva is who we will go for if we can't get Fonseca, while Simoene and Enrique are pipe dreams.

Big Sam's cards are marked, thank God. The job was too big for him, and has proved to be a timely reminder Everton are not just another mid-table fodder team. We expect better. Our rightful place is among the so called top 6.

I'd be amazed if he is still in the job in 4 weeks time. I expect Silva to be appointed.

Number 1 is our rightful place! But top six and becoming regular champions league contenders, is obviously the more short term target. There wasn't a hope in hell of that happening under Allardyce. We will find our rightful place and level again, and Sam Allardyce will find his.
