I don't get this line of thinking. I understand why people think it is something that the club would do, they're horrible for trying to control the media, but it is one incredibly poor way to run an organization.

Someone said the same thing about Walsh when he started to get some negative attention from the press.

If we aren't happy with them we should just be giving them the boot or an honest discussion about how they're failing to meet expectations and leave it behind closed doors.

If we are in fact airing our dirty laundry out in the press then I can't imagine many people wanting to jump at the opportunity to work for us if they become aware that rather being treated honestly we'll instead call up Joyce and Hunter on the sly to get a few digs in.

The same thing happened just before Koeman got booted - open season by the press.

Every club has pet journos, that they use a mouth pieces / cheer leaders, same thing, but more so with Politicians.

The journo gets the inside story and the club gets someone to do their dirty work.

I`d say it`s the same with every club.
