Also factor in, that from sixth place downwards, the Premier League is probably the worst it`s been for years, so you could also say that`s gone in our favour too.

As an experienced Premier League manager, he should be able to take a game to dog turd teams, like Watford, Brighton, Huddersfield etc, but he can`t or won`t. Take your pick.

There was no turnaround, he just got very very lucky.

You can get off the fence you know ?
Could not agree more! There was no turnaround!
We didn’t go from playing badly to playing well... we went from playing badly and losing to playing badly and winning or drawing. Sometimes due to crap opposition and sometimes pure luck! Watford at home - classic example. That’s why we are so up and down on results. Same awful football - sometimes you have the posts save you, sometimes not - but hey, that futbol!

And that's it, isn't it? He's never done better than average, even here.

Home wins against the likes of Palace and Huddersfield. An away win vs Newcastle.

With a squad full of internationals, and then near £50m spent in January.

He's not done a great job at any point, has he?

Add to that, the fact this was supposed to be his one big chance, to prove to the footballing world that he wasn`t the hoofball dinosaur that has become his reputation.

He hasn`t done a very good job in ridding himself of that reputation either.

I`ve no doubt that when he`s turfed from here, that he`ll come out of retirement again to "save " another club around Christmas time this year and the whole rotten process will start again.

Lets pray to a god if there is one that the club is not us!

Wins against:

Huddersfield
Crystal Palace
Newcastle
Leicester
Swansea

..... I think this might actually be including the West Ham win, I dunno, what's the other win here?

People crying about the 4-1 down at Southampton. We got pumped far harder at Arsenal and Spurs and even managed to get two points from two fixtures with West Brom.

'Oh he's tightened the defence'. Concede more than we score.

It seems to pass people by that he spent nearly £50m in January.

And one of the two players he signed, is looking increasingly unlikely to play any meaningful part in the remainder of this season.

When you add it all up, it seems impossible that he can stay beyond the rest of the season.

But this is Everton .......

He can’t be here next season. We can’t have him in charge trying to sneak a goal away to teams like Watford if we have any sort of ambition to challenge for silverware.

..the main doubt I have is the debacle trying to bring somebody in after Koeman and whether Moshiri wants to go through that process again. It would make sense if somebody is lined up, the last thing we’ll want is a protracted appointment that leaves little time in the summer transfer market.

This is largely why I expect Allardyce to be here if he secures a mid-table finish.

Crazy isn't it. You watch, there's that quote about the first player he signs reflecting on him, he'll bang on about Walcott and pretend Tosun was someone elses.

Nationally people are waking up to him now. You'd have to be a special kind of gullible to be pro-Allardyce.

Spot on, Chuck.

I thought SA had a chance with Everton fans, I also agree with you that it's very difficult to 2nd guess Moshiri particularly in a World Cup Summer.

I'd hoped he'd drop the "Big Sam" act though. Show a bit of humility, recognise he's at the biggest club he's been at, that has a tradition and a level of expectation and knowledge amongst the fan base.

We're not an unreasonable bunch. However we are very aware when we are being played.

His comments about Lookman, and more importantly yesterday were appalling. Trying to shift the blame onto the fans, for our treatment of Schneiderlin as causing the defeat is awful. He was always a manager who tried to blame everyone but himself, and he has continued along that way here. There's nobody left to blame, he's had money, a good squad etc so he turns on supporters.

This ought to be enough to seal his fate. I have little faith on Moshiri anymore though. Every week Allardyce remains here though, defending players who don't put effort in on the basis of how much they are paid/cost and turning the performances on fans, any credibility Moshiri has left will be eroded away.

Honest to god, I'd have Martinez back over this idiot. He never tried to blame fans for his ineptitude.

The BFS really owes his continued employment to the fact that we already sacked Koeman this year. TBH the two were not that different. RK blamed ‘futbol’ and BFS blames the players or the weather. I am not sure Koeman always played for the draw (City?) but he also did not know quite what to do to get individuals to perform as a team or set out a team to win. We wont sack BFS until May because we are not WHU or West Brom or Palace but hopefully the Mosh is not skipping along merrily thinking this is working out well because we aren’t going down.
The BFS reminds me of a guy who is employed to stop the Titanic from sinking and his answer is pack more life jackets.
