Have we finally found him a strike partner? They seemed to click today (as is evident by the 3 goals and assist between them) and are seemingly already on the same wavelength. I've not seen Saha play as well with another striker at any point for this club, so maybe this could be another feather to add to our offensive cap?

Time will tell mate, they shown promise today, but they need to do it consistently. I honestly feel the Yak will come good though, he isn't finished yet. I do like Saha in this slightly withdrawn role though, he ran the show today and has an assist in him.

I was thinking about Saha's role a good bit. My main criticism of him was that he was too selfish. He's got excellent control and vision, but he used it only to tee himself up. It's fine when he's scoring, but it's frustrating when he's not. We've seen a different side to him today, and it gets me even more excited about next season.

Both were superb today, without question.

Give 'em a chance together at times throughout the season and we'll see what happens!

I should point out that I can't see them starting together (what with the 4-5-1 preference; and rightly so), but it's a potentially good option for later on -- just like today when Beckford came on from the bench. That pace has to be useful against tired legs.

Beckford only ever played well with Becchio at Leeds and it looked like him and Saha struck up quite a rapport today. Hopefully they'll do it in actual games as well.
