If Barry is out for the rest of the year I really think we'd see him over the Christmas period in that hectic run of games.

Gibbo is pretty prone to an injury, McCarthy is going to get his fifth yellow by the end of the year and it wouldn't even surprise me if Mo Besic picked up a suspension by the end of the year to. With having a boss who's willing to give youngsters a go and who does rotate we are going to see him get a chance sooner rather than later.

Injuries suck, especially to a vital player like Barry but it does give youngsters a chance to shine and see if they're up to it.

Look at last season when Jags went down, we were all spewing when he was injured but we got to see Stones absolutely shine, come from no where to almost make the England World Cup squad. We had some of out best defensive performances of the season.

Possibly although given Besic himself isn't very experienced in the league so would be a high risk pairing especially with West Ham in good form.

Perhaps a switch to 433 with Besic as the holding midfielder and Osman RM and Barkley LM.

If those 3 are out on Saturday he'll likely make the bench. Hopefully at least McCarthy will be fit.

It does, really like his character both on and off the pitch and the fact he's chosen McCarthy as a role model is a good sign as well.
