England are guaranteed a place in the next round after the Dutch beat Malta 5-2, England have +1 goal difference so a draw will see them top the group. In the other group Scott Gemmills Scotland beat Germany 1-0 today to go second in their group, Portugal have qualified already. The Scots need a draw against Switzerland to take second place and possibly set up a tie with England in the semi finals, the Swiss need to win the tie to progress, the Germans can still get through on goal difference if they win against Portugal.
I recorded this match yesterday and watched it last night.
Very impressed with Ledson - I stand by by description of him as the Kirkdale Rodwell. He has all the composure, passing ability and general class that Rodwell showed as a youth but also has the drive and competitiveness that Jack seemed to lack. I wouldn't put him on the guaranteed superstar list (Rooney remains the only one I've ever seen where he was basically world class at 16) but he is in the group along with the likes of Barkley who were stand out youth players.
First time seeing Kenny play too and he looked really sharp. Very attacking and linked well with Roberts of Fulham (who is the standout player in this age group). I keep hearing they see Kenny as a centre back long term but he looked very good at full back.

He reminds me of Gibson a little. Great long pass, vision, composure and can put a tackle. It would be great for him if he can learn his trades from Gibbo and Barry. Looks very very promising.
His leading skills are also a bonus. Would love to have a proper Scouse and home-grown as a captain in 5-10 years time.
BTW Kenny could be a natural Hibbo replacement. Thinks he is more settled to play on the right back than in the centre.

I reckon this tournament will reflect positively on the seniors if we do well. Take into account the 'youthful' squad we have, the media will bang on about how all of these will step up by russia 2018 etc.

Although there is a fairly good chance he'll be rested as they've already qualified. Jonjoe Kenny might play though.
