This seems to be the strongest rumour so far. How highly rate is he? Would Moyes put him straight in the team or is he going to do a Wenger and build a team beneath a team.

If he's doing the latter than I think that is quality. By the time our younger first teamers are peaking, than the young guns that he has brought in will be ready to break into the squad. You have to say that recognising young talent is a skill and one that can save you plenty of money.

Wow, he's a decent actor...not sure how good he is playing footie though.

Hopefully he'll prove to be a success, although I don't know much about him. Moyes hasn't had much success with buying in young players thus far. Spencer seems set for the exit, neither Turner or Ruddy look likely to dethrone Howard any time soon and both Boyle and Agard have had limited first team opportunities.

What is clear however is that Moyes is trying to develop a good group of young players at the club, either developed locally or signed in from elsewhere. Hopefully some of those will begin to challenge for the first team in the way Vaughan and Anichebe are this season.
