Ryan Giggs Wants Everton Job

Let's see. He's definitely here for a job until sometime next season when the Ferguson-shaped hole reappears at OT. Being here gives him a decent chance to slot in there. Using a big-name ex-player is usually good for player recruitment - many foreign youngsters grew up watching him on Telly. Not sure about his tactical acumen, but I guess we would do rather keep things simple under any manager.
W T F are you talking about ?

Ryan Giggs Wants Everton Job

Ryan Giggs has declared his interest in succeeding Ronald Koeman as Everton manager.

“I think you look at those two teams, Leicester being champions two seasons ago, Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history, for me these are clubs I would be interested in,” Giggs revealed to Sky Sports.

“There are a lot of coaches out there who would be interested in those positions,” conceded Giggs who won 13 Premier League titles with Manchester United.

“There are clubs in the Premier League which would be good jobs but also in the Championship and League One. It’s more about the philosophy for me than the stature of the club.”

I don’t think you’re surprised in this climate that clubs change managers so quickly,” added the Manchester United legend.

“Obviously Everton spent a lot of money while Leicester’s owners’ expectations are higher after what they achieved.

“I’ve said all along that I’d be open to clubs which share the ambitions of myself. I want to improve clubs and improve players, to enjoy working for them and for players to enjoy the challenge.”
He might do but he's got no experience. He needs to start in div 1 or 2 for me first...

Not your gig, Giggs

We’re not bloody Wigan or Port Vale you stupid muppet. Even Bill won’t fall for this or your pal Wee Davy “plastic straw in a Gunfight” Moyes

I won an FA Cup and League Cup for Everton in Football Manager.I also won an Eredivisie and Orange Beker with Ajax.I cleaned up with Barcelona as well.Sure if Giggsy is in the running, i may as well throw my name into the list of applicants as well.lol

I don't even rate the Neville's or Gigges as pundits! Gary's move to Valencia, showed that talking a good game on a telly with hindsight offers no insights at all as to their suitability for management. TV screens don't answer back Gary, Phil, Ryan.

TV screens don't pick tactics, deal with abuse, get injured, deal with agents or work within changing budgets. I never really rated Phil Neville but his effort on the pitch was an example at least.

Keep them well away from leading our team. They have no creds and no affinity with Everton.

I can see your reasoning here. If this were a Swansea or Leicester or something I think we'd also be more subjective and say 'Yeah, another guy trying to get sensible experience before a bigger step-up'. But it's Everton, these Giggs and the other Mancs circling have no experience or worse, proven-to-be-unsuccessful experience and no affinity with the club, its fans or its history.

So it's a no from me because we're Everton, and frankly for players I already care little about, I'd have more readiness to consider them for higher profile roles if they actually went and managed a Bolton, a Wigan or someone and demonstrably improved them. But they want cash and profile so they won't do that doing the hard graft. Two more reasons not to have them. UNSY

He clearly has a personality disorder. Pumping your own brother’s wife is Jeremy Kyle territory, but more seriously, it’s the behaviour of a psychopath/sociopath.

To seriously expect a Premier League club to give him his first break, just based on his (unquestionably brilliant) playing career is deluded. Completely absorbed in his own world.

To be fair to Giggs he was pumping his sister in law before she married his brother.
He set the marriage up so he could pump her in peace and quiet

A drunken heart to heart, a hug, little peck on the lips, she invites you to hers to talk more... like hell you wouldn't.
