rugby league is naff.

although halton stadium is quite a good venue whenever ive been for reserve matches, so its a shame for that to go to waste in the lower league for 3 years.

Are you a Widnes girl then Bainsey?

Yes but not really a big rugby fan, just alot of close mates who are and are still gutted.

The thing is the RFL based their decision on facilities, and the Halton Stadium is one of the best stadiums in rugby league in this country, but a something which looks like my shed is apparently better, they picked Celtic because they want to expand rugby league in Wales, so why set out this rules if they wont follow them?

Total disgrace, giving it to a welsh club who have been around about 5 yrs instead of widnes who 1 of the oldest clubs in england and are the cup kings (at least they were)

as they say in leigh "a bag of biz!!", leigh centurions have also missed out and have just built a great new stadium, it wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for 3 years but they are basically denying the club the chance to make some money for 3 seasons which means they could be out of business by then, clubs are surviving off the years that they get up and spend in super league, they may go back down again but at least the cash is getting spread out a bit. salford are serial underachievers in s.l. and dont deserve the 3 year guarantee of s.l as when you think about it they can take every player who comes through in the leigh area due to the locallity of the 2, and leigh does provide a large amount of the lads that go pro.
bad decision by super league as far as i can see.(n)

Wigan should have been booted out for breaking the salery cap, quins should have been booted out for going into administration, they didnt even take a point of quins, yet took 9 of widnes for going into administation.

The salary cap is a joke. St Helens currently have a team that is arguably a match of anything Wigan produced in the 80's and 90's. I can't believe they're even close to being under the cap, especially with Sculthorpe effectively a passenger.

dont know about salary cap, they'll be passing a cap round at leigh by the time the 3 years are up, and effectively only 1 team may be promoted in that season or even none.

Still its nice to know its not just soccer thats going tits up over greed.I remember watching Widnes winning at wembley and my cousins son being sick as he is a Warrington fan feel for his Dad hes a red hot blue. Joking aside sport now is different and I honestly dont like the changes how can professional footballers compete in the Olympics and Widnes have been shafted in rugby.Drugs cheat trying to get the law to force themselves back into contention even the r/s wangling them selves back in to champions league when finishing fifth.:@
