Good move by them - Poulsen is solid, dirty and experienced, will offer a solid protection for defense. He was quite bad at Juve... but who wasn't. Before he was doing an extremely good job for Sevilla.

Mascherano out; Poulsen in. That'll do nicely. They're moving in the right direction.
 

4.5 mill for a 30 year old and a 3 year contract.. who had a cr*p world cup and been poor for a while now at Juve.. Doubt he'll be starting for them though, just a squad player.

I see Carragher has just donatd 10k to Andy Burham's leader campaign, i hope Poulson is loaded!
 

30 years old, crap bit-part player for Juve (who have been trying to get rid of him for over a year), crap player for Denmark, no Premier League experience whatsoever. I was one of the ones who feared that Roy would do a good job there, but I'm beginning to hope.

Being a Dane, I have seen Poulsen play for the past 10 years and I have never been impressed and yeah Denmark had as bad a WC as England. Poulsen is viewed by many as one of Denmarks three best players - the others being Agger and Bendtner - which tells a lot about the state of the Danish national team. He is the exact same type of player as Carsley, but even though he is an experienced head he is too anonomous for my liking. I believe the PL will be to fast for him, and I doubt that he will fare better than Lucas.
