Is this a rhetorical question? No - don't answer (!!!). Actually since that club has an excessive share of bellends it's because they developed a sense of entitlement (especially heightened since 1990) so what would you expect - a mentality that says 'we're the best (or when we're not we damn well should be) and these losers that attach themselves to this winning formula have been let down badly in recent years so are venting their spleen. As far as they are concerned football history doesn't exist pre-Shankly which will be because, for the most part, it was a rocky ride from the bottom to the top and back again conveniently airbrushed out of their history. How amusing that such a second rate (pre Shankly) club should lay false claim to being so well followed at that time. Perhaps they followed them from a distance out of sympathy - perhaps they showed the games live on the tv way back then?

its a weird one for sure mate, never heard that before. haha- it was evertonians, you coulldnt make it up.............erm

I've heard us blamed or said to have also been there. If my mate had been able to afford it then he would've come to Rotterdam with me and then I would've gone to Brussels with him.

Do you remember the lads that wore the R/S shirts ?
I was working in Patricroft and it was on the Radio. I worked and went to college in Salford and I can honestly say that I never remembered anyone saying anything bad at the time.
There was a song about Shankly dying to the tune of "who's that..." that folk on the radio were saying would stop, and Hillsborough would never be mocked.

I know quite a few who went to anfield to pay respect etc

If you actually think of the years of the Mass singing of Munich songs its pretty amazing that there wasnt a lot of tit for tat from United fans to be honest. I do remember 'Wheres your famous Munich song' chants being sung though

No one's saying we don't have scum mate, but to say that we're anywhere near the level of Liverpool's support is just ridiculous. 1. Liverpool have far more supporters hence a higher number of scummy fans. And even if you didn't, those stories mentioned previously don't lie. When in Everton's history have we massacred 39 Italians? Did we fight amongst and try and break into Wembley when we were in a cup final like you did at both Champions League finals? Did members of Everton's support try and kick down an ambulance? OF COURSE, no one is saying ALL Liverpool fans are to blame for these incidents, but it seems your support are the absolute WORSE for jumping on high horses and sounding off about 'disgusting' and 'twisted' Everton fans. About 30 Evertonians throwing plastic bottles is hardly on a par with what you lot have got up to over the years. And as for the 'murderers' chant, it's not good, but all it is is a reminder to your self riteous holier than thou fans that you have a dark history, and your consistant looking down upon other clubs and their fans will not be let go. How come Everton fans don't sing, or at least on the same scale, about Munich? Still Scousers v Mancs isn't it? The answer is obvious. Ask UEFA, ask neutral fans, ask anyone who's got the worst behaved fans and you'll get your Chelsea, your Millwall, your Leeds and you'll get your Liverpool right up there.

Thanks for your reply mate.

I wasn't in Istanbul and this is the first I've heard of fans fighting to break into the ground that night. I was in Athens two years later however (with a match ticket) and what I went through to get into the stadium that night was a very unpleasant experience. However lets not just assume that Evertonians would have conducted themselves in an exemplary manner if the tables were turned, how many blues snuck into Wembley in '86 without a ticket? The ground was well over capacity that day, and they weren't all reds!

Again you've highlighted some isolated incidents in your post. Alan Smith's ambulance being attacked, whilst appalling, was conducted by a few dick-heads outside the ground who didn't even attend the match! You can't taint the whole of our support by highlighting incidents like that, as the same could be done in reverse.

I'm glad you admit that the 'murderers' chant is wrong, but to then try and subtly justify it by saying it's some sort of reminder to our 'self righteous' fans? Come on! That's just ridiculous. What happened at Heysel was awful, it was a terrible disaster, but it's a disaster that all like minded Liverpool supporters wish never happened! You might get the odd delusional prick saying he's not arsed etc, but it goes back to my original point. I am not a murderer, neither are my friends and family members. The chant is wrong and it should not be sung at the match.

For your information by the way mate, I don't recall anyone on rawk saying that Everton fans are 'disgusting' or 'twisted' for throwing some bottles onto the pitch.

I have made my points on the Munich chants in my previous post, but a lot of blues have sung it at Old Trafford in recent times. Never seen or heard it myself, I was informed of it however by one of my mates who owns a season ticket at Goodison.

Like I said, scum at every club, and Everton have their fair share too. I don't like how some on here try and completely demonise our support every time some of their own support have misbehaved.

why dont you point the finger at others for once in your life. LFC shouldnt take all the blame for other fans wrong doings, its a heavy weight to carry, share the load.

The only reason we 'demonise' is because Liverpool do exactly the same, on a higher scale. And looking back through major incidients in history, Liverpool have the worse fans out of the two. That's how it is. Goodison Park can be the most evil, intimidating atmosphere in England on it's day. We literally hate anything or anyone who isn't wearing a blue shirt. It's fantastic. But as soon as the final whistle is blown, that's it. Even at the derby, where there was good cause to kick off left right and centre and a lot of other fans from other clubs would have, I didn't see a single bit of trouble. Everyone was just bummed out and miserably walked back to the car parks. Because our love of Everton is far higher than our hate for anyone else.

You need to tell your abundance of clueless, anywhere BUT Liverpool fans who just have no idea about the history between the two clubs.

Tit for tat. Who gives a **** what people sing. When a non pc song is sung the only reason it gets blown out of proportion for their own petty point scoring.
