We're perfectly entitled to use it...and it was on the very first medal that was awarded when we won the league at our old ground, before they were even thought of. But it has far too many negative vibes now.

tbh, I'd be more than happy if they were painted blue...think of the rs fume

I would be all for incorporating the bird into the badge.

We need to reclaim this city as our own.....for too long we have let them swan around the world, happy to present themselves as the authentic voice of Merseyside football culture.

From what I can see the pale green colour is only corrosion/verdigris on the bronze castings, it may have even been this colour from day one, some castings were painted with acetic acid/vinegar to naturally produce a consistant all over colour.
So maybe not even painted at all.

Go 'ed Mosh paint them

or....as Billy Butler or Wally never said.....PAINT YER PLUMS :)

Hmm *strokes chin in a thoughtful manner*
tbh, I'm torn bothways, it is a bit kopite-ish
But on the other hand, the fume from 2, 40ft white ovals containing a azure liverbird resurgent...one facing the river, one facing the road is very tempting.

And blue lasers coming out of their eyes.......
