Players dont sign for the 'bigger' team, they sign for the biggest offer of money.

Money is not the deciding factor on being a big club.

City could beat United to players every week if they wanted to now.

I was thinking about this having read something similar on Bluemoon. Is it entirely correct?

FFP now limits transfer expenditure to a club's revenue, and those that ignore such rules are fined and given a limit set by UEFA, like what has happened at City. The point I'm making is that I'm not sure that City's revenue is greater than United's, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that United still obliterate City when it comes to revenue.

They do, due to the serious milking of the Eastern Markets.

City will continue to do as they please, and just pay whatever fine they get, as they have done.

Their Revenue is about £400 million now I think.

"Liverpool may have all the trophies, but it doesnt take a genius to see its Everton and their fans who are the soul of that city"

making a t-shirt out of this quote just to piss my kopite friends off

its not in the book, its taken from an interview given to an Irish paper that was quoted on 5Live by Mickey Quinn who as apoplectic with rage!

I respect Keane a lot more than most players. He always has come across as strong willed and seems to get critisised when he goes against the grain. For example;

1) the interview at united which ended his career there. He was voicing his opinion and to be fair he was right. Most of the players he talked about havent made it for united compared to the welbecks and the like.

2) Walking out of Ireland. Clearly there was somehting there between him and McCarthy and if he was being a tit then fair enough. But if he could see through the bull of it then fair enough for nstanding up for himself.

3) this everton thing. If it wasnt us he was talking about then would you agree? players who we say are injured but playing for us the week later? Now i know timing and recovery factors in but in his opinion he is saying what we say about any other team pulling players from internationals
