Roy Keane criticises Martinez (do one, Roy)

International managers get wound up by club managers. Been happening since the early 70's.

Keane, unlike MON, has no visible trace of a brain, and hasn't worked out that you don't upset the man who controls your prize assets.

In the same way, if I want a business loan, I don't start a conversation with the bank manager by telling him he's an ignorant effing tool.

Well it's not a great strategy - O'Neill concedes even if Everton players are playing a few days after sitting out an international game that's ok...and expects them to play for Everton against West Ham.

You know the situation better than I do, but I'm struggling to see the Machiavellian nature of O'Neill's intervention, tbh.
If O'Neill chose Keane as his Deputy Dawg then more fool him, if he didnt well more fool him!
Keane loves publicity, it sells more books
He is a very unlovely specimen of a man

Last time I check this thread it only had a few posts now its 12 pages deep!

Can I ask why Roy Keane has such a influence on this football club?

...haven't seen a hulabuloo about this on BBC Gossip;

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is expected to be available for their trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday despite pulling out of the Italy squad with a hamstring injury. (Guardian

O'Neill......
“First of all I haven’t picked up on Roy’s comments — I don’t follow him around and I haven’t had the chance to read what he said,” O’Neill said.
“But from my own perspective, regardless of what Roy said, the situation was that two lads weren’t fit for the game against Gibraltar and Germany and played a couple of days later [for Everton against Aston Villa], that’s understandable. I spoke to Séamus and he just wasn’t right. I didn’t speak to James.
“This time James does have a muscle injury — he wanted to give it a go and we always thought time would be against us and I think he will be perfectly right to play on the weekend for his club.

At least RM didn't have to get involved.

Ha ha ace thread. Only on GOT do we give a man a 2 page pat on the back when he says some kind words about our club, yet the minute the same man mutters something of dislike, a fume-con 2 thread shows up with multiple pages. 12 pages? Who is arsed really ?

I think keane is sound. He tells it like it is and is quality at popcorning.

I think this nails it! End of.

im not sure that Keane's coments are sincere. Instead i think it's merely him trying to hog the limelight again, make it all about Roy Kane just like he did when he walked out on Ireland during their world cup campaign. he's a hypocrite with an ego the size of a small planet. It's done nothing but put Seamus and James in an awkward position whilst making sure the headlines are all about himself.

I lost all respect for that gob****e after he made money! admitting he deliberately ended a fellow professional's career. He should never have been allowed a position in the game again.
This s**tstorm is going to make life awkward for two of our best young players! and by igniting a scene from nothing, it may affect their performances and distract them from their day jobs.
Also, the way he arrogantly confronted the referee at Celtic Park begs the question; "HOW DOES THE PRCK GET AWAY WITH IT?"
