Off topic but speaking of fav commentators hard to look past Murray Walker, so much knowledge and enthusiasm with a distinctive voice but with the added benefit of some glorious gaffes!

I think he was considered good. I always liked him although I sort of grew up with him doing the boxing as he was on it from the mid 90's so I didn't really know any different. He did all the big fights then with the likes of Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield etc. I still really like him now as a football commentator

I can't imagine he wasn't based on what I know and hold that sort of gig.

That moment in 2010 was full on fan boy. Yes he was being paid to cover the US but he genuinely captured the moment as a fully invested fan. Go! Go! USA! Was so genuine. He was so excited...he called that moment so well.

Some are great, I just don’t like her it carney as they managed to get away with inappropriate actions and made it as cornerstone pieces of coverage.

Loads I think are spot on and I think that Kelly Somers who’s been reporting on from the England camp has been excellent, actually really knowledgeable.
