Reading his comments from his interview yesterday, when asked about Owen, at the end he said "it wasn`t a area they were looking for"

No strikers then?

Pasted the quote;

Speculation has grown that Owen would prefer a move to Everton, the club he supported as a boy, and although Round rates him highly he said Moyes is focussing on recruiting younger players. “There’s been no contact from us to Michael,â€￾ he said. “I can’t see that changing at the moment.

“I worked with him at Newcastle and England but at the moment he’s not been spoken about by the manager or the chairman.

“Michael is a proven goalscorer at the highest level. Even with his limited appearances at Manchester United his goals per game ratio was excellent. If he stays fit and plays for a Premier League team I’m sure he’ll score goals. But it’s not really the area we’re looking for.â€￾

full back cover is a must for me and yeah prob a midfielder who is versatile cos thats how we roll in the modern footballing world.

We need more of those prehabilitation lads if we only have a squad of 15 this season. The sound of whale music and the reflection of light off the healing crystals at FF is going to be remarkable this year.

i think we are actually well covered in most areas , but a third choice loan keeper and a striker loan would make me feel a bit easier.

Been saying for a while as far as I'm aware it's been a centre mid we've been looking at . I think niang was looked & as he really impressed so we had a much stronger look at him , not distracting from us looking at centre mid
