Dont know if any body watches this show. I really like it, good insite to how other countrys cope with gangs. It's pretty hard hitting stuff an has been to most citys in the world.

Last night was the turn of Liverpool. This was meant to be shown in September but was shelved till the Rhys Jones verdict. I watch it last night, an TBH was ashamed of are great city.

The Croccy crew an the noggzies. Utter embaressing retards. who the [Poor language removed] do they think they are. Some of the [Poor language removed] they were coming out with. Uneducated bell-ends. Any of their parents watching last night must know thats their son. Going on about guns an killing people. They really need to get a grip.

I feel safe walking around Liverpool. I dont think its that bad here. But last night we were portrade as a thug culture. An you cant leave your house with out being shot at. My anti lives in Croxtoth an i walk around no problams in that area.

Finaly, i hope these litte shithouses all go to nick. An the the same treatment that little [Poor language removed] mercer is getting. After laughing in the dock at the trial. Bett he's not laughing any more after getting his nose broke an head stamped on in jail. Years of that to come for that littl faggot. Hope they all get it in the end...

Did ayone else see it last night..?

What did you think...?

couldnt agree with you anymore mate, should shove all the little shits in the army on landmine clearence, they made our city look like a mini warzone once again, taking them to social services project they started was a load of bollocks not one being taken into care a smack on the wrist and blame the parents attitude makes me sick,once there out of the house there friends become the only influence they care about:@

yeah i watched it and like yourself sharpy really enjoy the series. Unlike a lot of peaple from the forum i dont live in liverpool (15 miles outside) however when i go i have never felt in danger or threatened and it has made the city look like the [Poor language removed] of england which we all know is just not true. What i found difficult to believe is that when ross asked what does the police think of them they replied they hate us as though the police should like them. Of course the police are going to hate them they carry guns and knives and cause pointless deaths. You cant get through to the gangs cause the don't know any better however what was again disturbing was the fact that they did not actually know why they were fighting each other :(

I agree Sharpy the trouble is the morons really think they are big time gangsters,the real gangsters of the city would eat them,they are really clever though why hide your face and have YOUR dog with you?:lol:imagine his parents hey he looks familiar and hes got a dog like ours:lol::lol:that guy called French is another pain hes been on the TV in almost everything but crime watch.:lol::lol:

Oh ye, Stephan French or 'the devil'. What a prick, kept calling Ross, Russ. Bellend of the highest order!!

These kids aint even gangsters, they would be mulled in the real world.

It has to stop. I didnt watch the programme but I can imagine what was picked up on film and flashed around the country. The city of Liverpool being dragged through the mud by the yob culture. It's no different here in Garston or Speke where a lad was stabbed on a bus a few days ago and another shot in his doorway in Speke. It seems to be the mentallity of the young ones these days to either carry a gun or a knife in school and it gets worse when the leave and join gangs. Then they hate the ones they went to school with because they live in another area. I dont feel threatened here because I know a lot of the faces and their parents but god protect you if you fall out with anyone these days. I've never held a gun and wouldnt want to but you can have one in your hands within a few hours in this city or any other if you really wanted one. I wouldnt want to be a teenager these days. My 18 year old son was walking his girlfriend home a few months ago when some shithouse ran up behind him and smashed a bottle over his head for no reason then ran off with some other lads. He told me he didnt know who it was but I think he just wanted to let it go out of fear of worse happening. [Poor language removed] knows how this is gonna be stopped but something really has to be done and its gotta start with the parents who dont give a [Poor language removed] about what their kids are up to at night.

To be fair Slight, there hasn't half been an improvement.

Snippet of work I done;

Within the first year of coming to power, Labours overhaul of the criminal justice system began with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, a reform which introduced a raft of measures to combat anti-social behaviour in England and Wales which saw the introduction of youth offending teams, teams with the idea of bringing together various social services such as teachers, police and probation services to tackle youth crime head on. Further acts followed in quick succession, all of which angled around Labours catchphrase ‘tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime’. An example of such an act being the implementation of The Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 which created further new powers for the local authorities, courts and the police to tackle a wide range of behaviour issues ranging from truancy and noise nuisance to graffiti and fly-tipping.
Put simply, Labour have introduced a hell of a lot of acts which grant more powers to authorities. More than any other time in history.

Knife crime up by how much?
Gun crime up by how much?
Sex crime up by how much?

I dont give a donkeys shlong about graffiti, truancy, and farting in public. The onus on results regardless of severity of crime has invited the box checkers to spend less time on more difficult more serious cases. Admin and HR gone mad.

Oh, and the prisons are full, and reoffender rates are as high as ever.

Round of applause for Labour!

Ah, another victim of media proliferation.

Read here;

http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/ale-house/10874-shocking.html

Overall, crime has fallen significantly since the early 1990's. Knife crime is no worse than in the past and represents a tiny proportion of total crime.

Prison population increasing? Yes, as it has forever. An indication of Labour being "tough on crime".

Reoffender rates are as high as ever? That would obviously correlate with increased numbers going to prison.

But you carry on believing that the country is in crisis with youth offending, knife crime etc. As did earlier generations with the teddy boys, mods etc. Back then I am sure they feared for future generations...

The amusing thing is, that in x amount of years... you'll be saying "Back in my day, it wasnt this bad" As does every generation.

Round of applause for Labour!

Indeed.

From another thread;

Figures published in the British Crime Survey (BCS) 2006-07 show that overall crime rates held steady in England and Wales over the past year. This is part of a long-term trend - crime rates peaked in 1995, then fell by 42% over the subsequent 10 years. The decline reduced the risk of the average person becoming a victim of crime by 41%, although that risk increased by one percentage point last year. Police recorded crime rates showed violent crime rates fell by 1% over the last year - the first fall in that category in eight years. The number of police recorded crimes involving firearms declined by 13% during the same time period. Some crime categories did show increases, but vandalism was the only category to show a statistically significant change over the year - vandalism reports increased by 10%. However, even with that increase, reports of vandalism are still 11% lower now than they were in 1995.

2m 37 seconds (y) "Youth crime has fallen significantly since the early 1990's" - The facts Mr David Cameron wouldn't like you to hear. Anarchy on our streets apparently... according to him

Since this Government came into power, the country has been on its arse. I am only sorry i voted for them. I would never ever vote Conservative but when i contributed in voting for Blair, i voted for the biggest tory ever. This Government may publish these statistics, but i dont swallow any of their lies.

Knives and bottles. HAHAHA Your punks over there sound like pussies. Why don't you plunk them on our streets to see how tough they really are?
