Annoying thing is why Chelsea? I'm not talking about the obvious answers (money, champions league) but more the fact that the likes of Willian are on the bench for Chelsea who for me is a better player than Barkley is. Just all seems a bit ''me too'', he's probably going from 40+ appearances for us per season to be lucky to get half that at Chelsea.

As for Chelsea this is pretty much a risk free move. Even if Barkley flops they will recoup their money.

He's basically played the situation how he passes a football.

Facing one direction, did 3 or 4 turns and ended up going in the original direction.

Expected nothing else.
