He's off to spurs he decided last summer. Hence Koeman pushing him into a corner over his contract and buying three replacements. None of whom are as good but that's how I see it.

I’m a huge blue and love the club but if I was Barkley I’d choose spurs... we are a club going backwards and will not be challenging the top 4 for several years (if ever). Why hang around when you can move to an already successful club who are going places and drastically increase your chance of playing at highest level ?

Literally only reason to stay is because he’s a boyhood evertonian and for me that’s not enough to turn down the prospect of having a far more successful career elsewhere. His career has stagnated badly here and sometimes it’s good to get away from familiar surroundings.

Then they won’t sign him ? Pretty obvious they are or have been interested in him though and there interest seems the most logical reason for him pulling out of Chelsea deal at last minute.
