Ross Barkley has
NOT demanded to become Tottenham Hotspur's highest paid player.
The ECHO understands that reports of the
Everton midfielder asking for £150,000-a-week are wide of the mark.
Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris are Spurs' biggest earners on £120,000- a- week but suggestions that Barkley wants more money than the pair are believed to be wrong.

The 23-year-old
is currently nursing a small groin injury which kept him out of the Blues' trip to Tanzania last week and means he did not travel with the squad to Holland.

Spurs remain keen on Barkley but Everton's valuation of the player means that any deal remains far from being complete.
Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the 23-year-old but Spurs have been told they will have to pay
at least £30m for the Academy product, who is now in the final 12 months of his contract at Goodison.
