Ross Barkley

I think you're part of the problem mate.

Why mr Bungle?

I just simply cannot be arsed with over pampered footballers, that's all. Sign or do one!

If he chooses to leave he has effectively decided to walk away from something most Evertonians would give their right arm for.

I would prefer he stayed if I am totally honest.

Koeman said he's been offered one. Simple. If he doesn't sign it he can go. Koeman has lost valuable members of teams before and done a job in replacing them.
Hope he stays but more fool him if he goes. There looks to be something big going on.

None of us know the truth of course mate. But Koeman stating it in the media suggests there is something going on, otherwise the threat to sell him would not have been issued.

But it wasn't a threat?

Both Koeman and now Walsh have said that Barkley will be offered a new deal. Not that he has been already (which there's no evidence of).

As you say nobody knows for sure, but Koeman has only stated the facts.

That if he doesn't sign then we'll consider - from a business perspective - selling the player. But they're hopeful he'll sign.

He hasn't been offered one based on Koeman and Walsh's previous comments.

Davies looks like another Cahill in the making, similar in many aspects at least. Think Koeman will keep playing Ross in a wider role, seems to suit him, that cross last match was Beckham-esq, don't worry about beating your man with pace, just release that perfect early ball with swerve!
Really?? I would say Cahill and Davies are as different as you can possibly get.

No he didnt mate. He said

"We offer him a new contract, and there are two possibilities," said Koeman.

"One, he signs that contract. If he doesn't sign that contract then we need to sell the player. It's simple, it's not so difficult in my opinion."

Where does he say we have offered a new contract? Steve Walsh also said we will offer him a new contract.

If he refused or rejected one it would have been all over the papers by now. Its clear he hasnt been offered it yet.

I honestly think there's some ambiguity in Koeman's phrasing (it ain't his mother tongue, after all) and he has in fact not been offered a contract yet. But can see why the lids are getting all worked up.

I think he was just trying to dismiss attention/ speculation by saying how simple the situation should be - i.e. you offer a player a contract then they sign it or do one - but he has inadvertently invited more...

Very possibly! maybe lost in translation a little. I hope so.

Had a think about this now...not going to lose any sleep of some apparent boyhood blue who doesn't want to play for the club if that is indeed his choice.

We have enough money to replace him and if he chooses to leave, it is not with well wishes and he should be castigated by Evertonians everywhere.

Sign, or don't let the door hit your fat arse on the way out.

Let's wait and see what happens before we begin the castigation.

Chill brah

Applying logic if he hasn't been offered something why are we making veiled threats that if he doesn't sign he will be sold. Surely you can only make statements like Koeman has if the contract has been offered or at least discussed with him and his agent? Something doesn't add up.

What you've perceived as a 'veiled threat' might actually just be a frank expression about how simple the process is, in an effort to stifle all the attention. Maybe Everton haven't offered him one yet because they are not sure what he's worth yet.

The point is, it's distressing to watch this over-analysis snowball into pure panic and premature cry-arsing.
