Ross Barkley

He isn't 23 - and I don't think it's anything to do with that.

He's in poor form and only he can play himself out of it. He was good vs Boro and did what he needed to do - for some reason he's regressed again in the last few days, though worth noting in a side that played poorly on both occasions.

Think the reason he was good against Boro mate was that he kept it simple, he needs a run of games where he keeps doing that, build his confidence up, and then I think we'll see the real Barkley again.

Rooney? With foresight ? Your having a laugh aren't you.
I am having a laugh

But if this abuse that Barkley recieves starts to spill into match day he may take the same path as Rooney, and let's be honest certain parts of the crowd have turned on him previously
My other point was why do do people for example give the likes of Miralles constant excuses

I have said in the past he try's to hard and try's to make telling passes all the time
It is no crime to play a simple ball, he doesn't have yo be the focal point of every attack

Credit has to be given, even when he is playing poorly he still makes himself available...unlike some I could mention

Ross did actually take a pen that Baines was going to take. And missed. It was glossed over. Mirallas still gets slated for his, and was punished by having to sit on the bench for 18 months.
When he did get released from the bench he got sent off....

Think he also has to get out of his head that he needs to be the main man every game, putting too much on himself.

100% agree
I think this is simply down to him being a Blue himself and he wants to be seen to be being a focal point.
Simple things will help him, but people will then slate him then for not being the playmaker he is meant to be.
He is the new scapegoat for some people

The stick Barkley gets from Evertonians most of the time is a disgrace although at Sunderland he deserved it. But on the other hand he also needs to sort himself out, and quickly, because I get the feeling this manager won't tolerate him past this season if he doesn't get his act together and stick to the basics whilst he regains some form.

There are plenty of other Everton players who seem to get let off the hook though. Mirallas is a perfect example. Anonymous in 6 or 7 games out of 10.

Deulofeu, Coleman, Lukaku (when he's not scoring), Mirallas and Valencia in his short time here all need to have a word with themselves. Some shocking performances from them recently along with Barkley.

Makes me laugh how players like Cleverley get slaughtered as well. Obviously a limited player but at least he gives 100% every game regardless of how well he is playing. The attitude from certain players is pathetic.

Cleverley came on and improved us the other day.

A sad indictment of those playing, perhaps, but he pushed us further up the pitch.

Kev, IMO, is just too predictable on the left. His best moments for us this season have been playing off the central striker, linking the play and making sharp incisive runs, or out on the right.

Bolasie, similarly, has enjoyed his best bits out on the left.

You're so full of hate, aren't you?

What's wrong, mate? Is your life really that depressing?

I promised a mod not to get caught up in nonsense, so without actually insulting anyone, here is my opinion.

The comment raised by @Nil Satis Niasse Optimum is a valid one. A lack of intelligence could be a lack of spacial awareness, a lack of understanding, a lack of being able to apply a managers instructions, a lack of quick thinking. It was a relevant point if read and interpreted sensibly. You don't always have to jump on the bandwagon of negativity.

As for the full of hate and your life is depressing comment, well based on our previous debate regarding perceived mental health issues, you should know better than raising it on a public forum. Try engaging in a debate without insulting folk and practising what you preach...Any other approach would just be hypocritical to your public persona of being a 'nice caring guy / gal'.

Thanks mate, I will give you that tenner when I see you next.

In all honesty, though, it doesn't take a genius to work out that what I said was completely reasonable. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it to the simpletons on here, though.

I believe @Baines' left foot should have a word with himself next time s/he goes around insulting people on the internets.

;)
