Glad he is not been selected. His form has been terrible for a season at least.. he needs something to kick him on and strolling into the England squad playing badly wont help him
Form terrible for a season are you joking he made the sky team of the year at Christmas over payet & was nominated for young player of the years based on his form until the west ham game.

You support Everton get behind your players & open you eyes

Think we can see where fat Sams team is going. No Barkley, no Rashford suggests flair players have no room in his team. We will be stuck with a totally robotic team that will score a fair share from crosses and long balls......when Andy Carroll is fit again. Step back IMO, we need to play the flair players and get the most out of them.

Even Kevin Campbell was spouting crap about him this morning, needs to up his game etc.

I hear nothing of that talk for Deli Ali etc.

Eh? His form was fantastic for he first half of last season. He only went crap when the rest of the team imploded. No one played well (couple of cup games aside) from after the West Ham defeat onwards.

More goals and assists at 22 than Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes had at the same age.

More successful dribbles than anyone else in his position.

Same ball retention as David Silva and Ozil.

Stats sites like WhoScored and Sqwaka had him between 10th and 50th best player in the whole of Europe last season.

Look lads. There is nothing wrong with saying we have an average player who is feeling the pressure of being a blue whilst playing for them. He's been average with glimpses of brilliance, it's a painful situation to be in but he's had a large number of managers saying the same thing to him.

I think there maybe some underlying reason that we dont know about. It was strange to me that he didnt get any minutes in the Euros.
Maybe there is something else, what I dont know, but Im sure Koeman will sort it. We all know Ross's capabilities.

A selection of his best bits over the last 3 seasons would be better than most midfielders entire career montages. Yes there are improvements he could make to his game but some people are going on like average prem midfielders run the length of the pitch v Newcastld to score every week, or bend one in first time over Hart every week, or thunder in shots from outside the box with either foot every week. He is not an average player, we just expect far far too much from him.

Disappointed for Ross he didn't get in the squad because of all the 10's he is the one who is most in form. But it must be said England's loss is our gain. Less games, probably will give him a bit more incentive to play even better over the next few weeks and less chance of the sky 4 clubs arses, sorry meant players, whispering in his ears that he should be at a big club.

Maybe our gain... Or maybe he looks at stones.. No mins at euros.. Moves to a " big club" and then is in the frame

...I think the benchmark for Barkley is that no clubs are showing the least bit of interest in him. I'm not aware of a single rumour in a market that's awash with money. That suggests to me that Coaches of top sides don't think he's at that level. If that situation changes it will be a better indication of how good he really is.

Sorryjust dont get the love in for barkley. The lad obviously has talent but just doesnt produce anywhere near often enough. Consistent quality is the requirement of all top class players. He s no kid any more and for me just has too many flaws which are unlikely to be eradicated at his age. I d happily sell but genuinely believe you would all be surprised by the lack of interest from top clubs.
