...I suspect he was left out because Sam isn't a fan. Let's not forget that in a market awash with money there are no links or rumours to Barkley - I'm not aware of any top managers having him on their shopping lists.

There has been a big improvement from ross this season so far but there is absolutely no way he fits into a 442 system regardless of who the manager is. So it would be a bit pointless picking him for the squad

Eh? His form was fantastic for he first half of last season. He only went crap when the rest of the team imploded. No one played well (couple of cup games aside) from after the West Ham defeat onwards.

Lazy? That's a joke. Look at the size of him and look at the size and shape of Vardy.

Is there any wonder Vardy can run all day. He looks like a long distance athlete. Rom looks like a sprinter.

I think Sam will go 4-4-2 with both Vardy and Rooney which is the reason Barkley isn't picked. He doesn't need a lot of CMs.

Fat Sam is all over the place on this now. He's saying that Rooney will actually play as a striker, he wants two players for every position, but that Rooney will be the number 10 and Deli Ali the other one and that's why Ross wasn't picked, i.e, it was just a choice between Rooney,Ali or Ross.............I think he's been a bit taken aback by criticism/questions for Ross's absence and is just making it up on the hoof.....
