Ross Barkley

I'm sure he has a good group around him and the managerial team who will lift him up if he is disappointed.
Not sure he will be after getting splinters during the Euros if he has anything about him and I'm sure he has he will be more determined than ever.

Can only be good for us blues.

Not surprised by his omission, or the fact that every English player that plays for the R/S getting picked, regardless of their form.

I was beginning to think it was just me who thought he had a good game but then again I thought Rom was awesome too.
Rom was pulling the trigger first time instead of taking a touch away from being awesome. And all the other attackers would have looked better as a result

I think Barkley is someone who Allardyce would view as not having a set position, and that it will go against him as long as the fat get remains in charge.
So now the England manager is being criticised for NOT shoehorning players into his squad/team? Give me strength. If Allardyce cannot see how Barkley would fit into his team, then he has every right not to select him. Better this that taking a glut of central midfielders and either not playing them or getting the combination completely wrong.

He didn't have his shooting boots on. But he was bullying defenders, holdup, going past them basically doing everything you hope he does each game except score.

As much as Koeman says. I think this barren patch is affecting his game which is a bit unfair since it's over two seasons. We have still only played 3 games and Rom only 1.5 of them.

I agree he did the other not finishing stuff well and as much as people still like to call him lazy he actually put more effort into pressing than he ever had to before

Lazy? That's a joke. Look at the size of him and look at the size and shape of Vardy.

Is there any wonder Vardy can run all day. He looks like a long distance athlete. Rom looks like a sprinter.

I think Sam will go 4-4-2 with both Vardy and Rooney which is the reason Barkley isn't picked. He doesn't need a lot of CMs.

taking rooney over barkley is madness if he's playing rooney as a CAM

barkley is faster, with more stamina and an arguably better shot from range, as well as being two footed

fat sam following the England tradition of worshipping big names

Barkley will be part of the world cup squad if we qualify. No doubt about it. Think Sam is just sending him a message that he needs to improve. Don't think it will do Ross any harm.

I wasn't criticising Allardyce. I just wanted to call him a fat get.

I'm sure Barkley will be given a chance at some point.
