I hope he dosen't now, dont want him to get his first game in one of the harder games, wont do his confidence any good if we end up paying France and get knocked out while he is on the pitch, the way the media is they will blame him, narr Roy has left him out so far, Roy can do one and let him chill on the bench and enjoy watching the rest of the squad make fools of themselves

I keep reading that people wish Barkley would come home, not play, never play for England again etc etc...

That is probably a million miles from the way the player himself actually feels, he probably still has pride in playing for his country, he'll be gutted about not playing, same as stones but it's upto them to show a good attitude not throw their toys out of the pram like a lot on here seem to have.

The irritating thing is he will be taking part in all the training sessions, I imagine the games themselves are just a fraction of work involved.

So he's coming back to us with no rest, yet nothing to show for it.
