They just said on the radio that Barkley is desperate to leave and play somewhere but so far no takers.

He'll still want his 100k a week and no club are going to pay him more than 30k nowadays. So do Chelsea cut their loses by subsidising 80% of his wages or let him rot hoping he will go eventually to try and play.

Chelsea have a few high earners on the books they need to move on, Barkley, Hudson Odoi, Loftus Cheek and others but then I would'nt want to even look at their finances, they have one of the biggest squads in football, a few years back they had something like 46 players out on loan!
