Rooney Swearing FA = ABU

Yeh swearing at other levels of football is a straight red offence, in the prem it is called 'industry language' or some other nonsense. As far as punishments go...United should have had Vidic sent off on Saturday, a penalty against them last night and countless other decisions that have gone their way all season....so as Ferdinand said after the game last night 'it's swings and roundabouts', sometimes you get away with it sometimes you dont.

i thought a penalty was given because of `intent` y`know like when stevie g didnt get touched against sheff utd but was awarded a pen after the defender missed him but `intended to foul him` but didnt actually make contact. i thought evra went for the ball last night

But this just makes me cringe. Swearing ffs. Most of the kids you see (and I mean kids, not teens) swear their heads off anyway.

And there's the rub!
How can we expect children to behave in a sportsmanlike manner, when the supposed role-models they idolise do nothing but swear and intimidate referees and each other?
Personally I'm a rugby boy and rugby players are far more capable of causing physical injury to whomever they wish, but they call the referee sir!
The vast majority of footballers are overpaid, spoilt children themselves. No wonder the game is in such a mess.
