Rooney on talksport

Ive always thought he wasnt the same player since he left. he's lost that unpredictablity, that fearlessness he had at us were he took teams on, on his own. Not that he's ****e or anything but he's not the world beater I thought he would turn into.

he is putting on weight at a ridiculous rate and its getting harder and harder for him to shed it, ferguson even said its going to take him 4 or 5 games to get match fit and he is only 26. imagine what he is going to be like when he is 30.

Its partly his fault there was a documentary on him a few years ago showing how he put on weight in his early teens when he wanted to be a boxer, and now he is paying for it.
can see him going to madird at the end of the season until he is 30 and then probably to the US to do what becks did and finish there.

This unfortunately. By the time Utd are finished with him he'll be an absolute mess. A bald holding midfielder with knackered knees, running around kicking people at frustration at being so past it. No thanks. If he wanted to come back he shouldn't have signed that new contract on 250k a week

It's sad really becuase down he line when he's doing Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports to fill the void of not playing anymore he'll look back and wish he'd have given the club a least a couple of years of his best

When Rooney 'burst onto the scene' I thought he was incredible but I also remember him (when his relationship with moyes wasn't the best I suspect) pushed out wide when he wasnt on the bench looking far from a multi-million pound star . The form Rooney was showing before the 2010 world cup was as good as any English player I'd seen and although to be honest thats where I felt he'd be when he left us and he's not been there consistently it's certainly streets away from where he was when he left .

My take on this is that I NEVER want to see the rat in a blue shirt ever again .... simple as.
